Loaded Taco Sweet Potato

This hearty, grounding meal is exactly what your body craves in the luteal phase—the 10–14 days between ovulation and your period, when progesterone peaks and your body is focused on preparing for a potential pregnancy (even if you're not trying).

During this phase, blood sugar stability becomes even more important: fluctuating glucose can intensify PMS symptoms, mood swings, and cravings. Sweet potatoes offer slow-digesting, complex carbs that help keep your energy and mood steady, while also supporting progesterone production by calming the adrenals.

The taco-spiced protein and beans add a double dose of sustained fuel and fiber, which support both hormone metabolism and gut health. A happy gut = more efficient hormone clearance, especially estrogen — which is being broken down and balanced during this phase.

The guacamole adds healthy fats, potassium, and B vitamins — all essential for maintaining neurotransmitter balance (hello, serotonin!) and supporting your nervous system during a time when your body naturally wants more rest and nourishment.

Finally, spicy toppings like jalapeño, cumin, and microgreens support digestion, liver detoxification, and circulation, helping your body move through this phase with more ease and less stagnation.

✨ Perfect for:
– Curbing luteal cravings without a blood sugar crash
– Supporting progesterone naturally
– Keeping digestion + mood in check pre-period
– Cozy nights when you want comfort and balance
