Classic Acai Bowl
Acai bowls were one of my first true loves — not only because purple is my favorite color, but also because they remind me of some of my favorite memories and vacations. There’s just something magical about that vibrant, deep purple hue and the refreshing, fruity flavors that instantly transport me to sunny mornings and beachside cafes.
This classic acai bowl is simple, delicious, and totally customizable. Blended with frozen wild blueberries, banana, and a smooth acai packet, it’s naturally packed with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins that support overall health and help combat inflammation. I love adding a scoop of protein powder to balance the macros and keep blood sugar steady, but you can keep it pure and simple too!
Top it however you like — fresh fruit, crunchy granola, chia seeds, or a drizzle of honey — and you have a nourishing, satisfying bowl perfect for breakfast or a post-workout treat. It’s a little bowl of happiness and health all in one.
Classic Acai Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen acai packet (100g), unsweetened
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen wild blueberries
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut water (adjust for thickness)
- Optional: 1 scoop protein powder (I like to add this to balance the macros and make it more blood sugar friendly)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
Optional Toppings:
- Granola (try to find refined sugar free)
- Sliced fresh banana
- Fresh berries
- Chia seeds
- Chopped nuts
- Seeds
- Shredded coconut
- Drizzle of honey or nut butter
Directions:
- Run the frozen acai packet under warm water briefly to soften.
- Add acai, frozen banana, frozen wild blueberries, almond milk, and protein powder (if using) to a high-speed blender.
- Blend until smooth and thick, adding more liquid as needed but keep it thick enough to eat with a spoon.
- Pour into a bowl and add your favorite toppings.
- Enjoy immediately!
